Tiger tumbling back at WGC

Tiger Woods continues to clutch at a sore back as he freefalls down the leaderboard in the final round of the World Golf Championships Cadillac Championship.

World No.1 Woods started the day three shots off the lead in the penultimate pairing but has carded three bogeys in his opening seven holes to drop to two-over for the tournament and a distant eight shots off the lead.

A week removed from withdrawing from the PGA tour event in Florida with back spasms, Woods has grabbed his back after several shots as he battles to get through the tournament at Trump National Doral’s Blue Monster.

Two-time US PGA tour winning 23-year-old Patrick Reed is defying the star-studded field with a massive four shot lead after just seven holes of his final round.

Reed has three birdies and a bogey in his round to move to six-under for the week, in total control four ahead of fellow Americans Zach Johnson and Dustin Johnson at two-under through nine holes.

Adam Scott is even par on his final round through 15 holes to be four-over for the week and completely out of the picture.

Scott Hend carded a 71 to join Scott in a tie for 21st while Brett Rumford finally climbed off the canvass of the leaderboard with a final round 74 leaving the West Australian at 25-over, good enough to beat Kiradech Aphibarnrat into second last.
