Hull moves into Ladies Masters lead

English teenager Charley Hull has moved two shots clear midway through her second round at the Ladies Masters on the Gold Coast.

Hull, who started the day one shot behind co-leaders Su Oh and Eun Woo Choi, made three birdies in her opening nine holes on Friday at Royal Pines to move into the lead.

The 18-year-old is three-under par after 10 holes to be six-under overall, two ahead of Australian Oh and Korea’s Choi.

Hull came into the tournament as the bookies’ favourite following a stellar 2014 where she finished as the Ladies European Tour order of merit winner.

Choi is even-par through seven holes to remain at four-under overall while 18-year-old Victorian Oh isn’t set to begin her round until 1224 AEST.

Other movers so far include American Sydney Cox, who is two-under through 14 holes to be in a tie for sixth and four shots off the lead.
