WA’s Klinger out for 190 at the WACA

Michael Klinger missed out on a double century but Western Australia are still in command of their Sheffield Shield clash with South Australia at the WACA Ground.

At lunch on day three, WA were 7-452, an overall lead of 124 after they bowled out South Australia for 328.

Klinger resumed on 176, but he was out for 190 when an attempted pull went awry and he was caught at deep backward square leg.

The dismissal sparked a collapse of 4-26 as Shaun Marsh (56), Tom Beaton (8) and Sam Whiteman (5) fell shortly after.

Nathan Rimmington (12no) and Ryan Duffield (6no) made it through to lunch unscathed.

Redbacks trio Gary Putland, Kane Richardson and Joe Mennie have two wickets apiece.

Klinger cracked 19 fours and five sixes during his 301-ball stay at the crease, while skipper Adam Voges was also crucial with 101.
