Perth Scorchers coach Justin Langer says he wants veteran spinner Brad Hogg to return for next summer’s Twenty20 Big Bash League.

Hogg was a noticeable omission when the Scorchers unveiled 14 of their re-signings on Friday.

Langer said 44-year-old Hogg was a required player, but he would be signed at a later date unless injuries strike in the meantime.
