Inexperienced paceman Mohit Sharma has been drafted into India’s World Cup squad to replaced injured quick Ishant Sharma.

Ishant Sharma has been ruled out of the Cup – which starts on Saturday – due to a knee injury suffered during the Boxing Day Test against Australia.

Mohit Sharma, a 26-year-old who has played a dozen one-day internationals, was approved as an injury replacement by the ICC’s event technical committee on Sunday.
