McCullum signs for Brisbane Heat in BBL

Brisbane Heat have pulled off a massive coup, signing New Zealand skipper Brendon McCullum for three Big Bash League seasons.

The 33-year-old opening batsman will return to Brisbane this summer after having played three games for the Heat in BBL01, and will work with Heat coach and former Black Caps teammate Daniel Vettori.

“He’s a world-class batsman who has that explosiveness that can change a game,” Vettori said.

“Put him alongside Chris Lynn, Nathan Reardon and Ben Cutting and you have a pretty decent T20 batting line-up.”
