Lynn re-signs with BBL’s Heat

Big-hitting batsman Chris Lynn has received some welcome good news, re-signing with Big Bash League team Brisbane Heat for another three seasons.

Lynn, 24, had been ruing his luck after a hamstring tear sustained in Queensland’s recent Sheffield Shield clash ruled him out of Kolkata’s Indian Premier League campaign.

However, the Australian Twenty20 representative has something to smile about after inking a deal ahead of the Heat’s fifth BBL season.

He joins Ben Cutting, Joe Burns and Nathan Reardon on the Heat player roster.

Lynn hopes to spark Brisbane, who finished dead last in the 2014-15 BBL season with just two wins.

“I’m looking forward to again playing my part and hopefully challenging for the Big Bash title,” he said.

Lynn provided one of the Heat’s rare highlights last season, thrashing 243 runs at a strike-rate of 148.18.
