Queensland have announced Usman Khawaja as captain for the 2015-16 cricket season.
The 28-year-old former NSW batsman will lead the Bulls in the Sheffield Shield and one-day cup, succeeding veteran all-rounder James Hopes, who stood down as skipper at the end of last season.
Khawaja has played 89 first-class matches for Queensland and NSW and is currently captaining Australia A on their tour of India.
