India to bowl in Adelaide tour game

India will bowl first in their two-day game against a Cricket Australia XI at Adelaide’s Glenelg Oval.

There was no toss on Thursday, with the tourists granted their wish of sending the CA XI in under overcast skies.

It will allow Virat Kohli, Murali Vijay and Rohit Sharma – all en route from Macksville after attending Phillip Hughes’ funeral – the chance to bat later in the match.

The two sides lined up for a minute’s silence before play, while both sides are wearing black armbands.

India: Murali Vijay, Shikhar Dhawan, Cheteshwar Pujara, Virat Kohli (capt), Ajinkya Rahane, Suresh Raina, Rohit Sharma, Wriddhiman Saha, Mohammed Shami, Karn Sharma, Ishant Sharma

CA XI: Ryan Carters, Jordan Silk, Ashton Turner (capt), Matthew Short, Alex Keath, Jake Doran, Sebastian Gotch, Evan Gulbis, Josh Lalor, Jonte Pattison, Sam Rainbird.
