England 367 all out against India

England were bowled out for 367 in reply to India’s first innings 152, a lead of 215 runs, just after lunch on the third day of the fourth Test at Old Trafford on Saturday.

Joe Root (77) top-scored for England in an innings where Bhuvneshwar Kumar took three for 75, the recalled Varun Aaron three for 97 and Pankaj Singh two for 113 – his first wickets in Test cricket.

James Anderson (nine) was last man out when he was lbw to Ravindra Jadeja shortly after new-ball partner Stuart Broad had been forced to retire hurt after being struck on the nose by an Aaron bouncer, despite wearing a helmet.

Fast-medium bowler Broad took six wickets for 25 runs in India’s innings.

The five-match series is level at 1-1.
