Aussies to bat, name unchanged XI for semi

Australia have won the toss and will bat first in their World Cup semi-final against India at the SCG.

As expected both teams named an unchanged XI for the clash, which will decide who faces New Zealand in Sunday’s final at the MCG.

The pitch is dry and pundits are tipping another run-fest.

“The wicket looks great,” Clarke said.

Australia are coming off a six-wicket win over Pakistan in their quarter-final at Adelaide Oval.

Defending champions India are undefeated in the tournament and belted Bangladesh by 109 runs in the round of eight.

Australia XI: David Warner, Aaron Finch, Steve Smith, Michael Clarke (capt), Glenn Maxwell, Shane Watson, James Faulkner, Brad Haddin, Mitchell Johnson, Mitchell Starc, Josh Hazlewood.

India XI: Rohit Sharma, Shikhar Dhawan, Virat Kohli, Ajinkya Rahane, Suresh Raina, MS Dhoni (capt), Ravindra Jadeja, Ravichandran Ashwin, Mohit Sharma, Mohammed Shami, Umesh Yadav.
