Worsfold to represent AFL coaches

Former longstanding West Coast coach John Worsfold has been appointed chairman of the AFL Coaches Association.

It was announced on Wednesday that Worsfold will take over the position from four-time premiership coach David Parkin.

Worsfold was endorsed by all 18 head coaches to head up the association, which represents more than 150 fulltime AFL coaching staff.

The West Australian football hall of famer coached the Eagles from 2002 to 2013, including the 2006 premiership, and played 209 games for the club.

Since leaving West Coast, the qualified pharmacist has joined the AFL Laws of the Game committee and worked as a consultant for Seven West Media.
