North Melbourne defender Scott Thompson says his teammates need to relax more if they are to shake their inconsistency.

Ahead of his 150th AFL game on Saturday night against Geelong, Thompson says each Kangaroo needs to worry about playing their roles and not being over enthusiastic.

North Melbourne coach Brad Scott has reacted to the Kangaroos’ shock 55-point belting by dropping three players, with Lachlan Hansen (hip) a forced omission.

Geelong have recalled stars James Bartel and James Kelly as well as ruckman Dawson Simpson for their first match in three weeks.
