Adelaide’s Taylor Walker has emerged as a genuine contender for the Coleman medal and punters have been supporting him in numbers, with the Crows forward firming from $11 to $7.00 to win the leading goalkicker award with online bookmaker

Opening the season as a $26 chance, punters have been keen on Walker for the Coleman for some time, with one punter from Adelaide having $500 on him at $26 for a collect of $13,000 should he win.

This trend has continued over the last week, with Walker once again the second best backed player behind Buddy Franklin, the $3.00 favourite.

“There was a lot of early money for him when he was at long odds. Given his form, he hasn’t let those early punters down and even now he is into $7.00, the money is still coming as he seems to be the real deal this year,” said’s Shaun Anderson.
