Shuey, Adams accept AFL suspensions

West Coast’s Luke Shuey and Collingwood’s Taylor Adams on Tuesday accepted one-match suspensions from the AFL’s match review panel.

However Brisbane are yet to confirm their plea to Daniel Merrett’s charge of striking Gold Coast’s David Swallow, the league’s website reports.

Merrett has been offered a two-match suspension.

Shuey will miss Saturday night’s round-four game in Geelong against the Cats after accepting a one-game ban for striking St Kilda’s Tom Curren.

Collingwood’s Adams was charged following his bump on Geelong’s Joel Selwood. The Magpies play Richmond at the MCG on Friday night.

Gold Coast will on Tuesday contest the charge against Steven May.

The defender could have accepted a one-match ban for engaging in rough conduct against Brisbane’s Dayne Zorko.

Gold Coast have accepted a one-match suspension for Brandon Matera on a rough-conduct charge following a clash with Brisbane’s Jed Adcock.
