Richmond still credible: Hardwick

Richmond coach Damien Hardwick is adamant his AFL side hasn’t suffered a credibility hit.

The Tigers lost to Adelaide by 36 points on Friday night, a week after a stirring upset win against Hawthorn.

But Hardwick cautioned against reading too much into the loss at Adelaide Oval.

“It doesn’t say much,” he said.

“Sides are going to lose games. We have won 20 out of 27 games so you have got to lose at some stage.

“We have been up for a long period of time, there is not many sides that have won as many games as our boys.

“I’ll back our blokes in to continue to win games.”

Hardwick, who lost backman Dylan Grimes to a knee injury, preferred instead to talk up the Crows, who recorded a 74 entries into their attacking 50m arc – Richmond managed only 38.

“On form, they are as good as any side we have played this year,” Hardwick said.
