Port want to spoil finals runs of rivals

With their finals hopes seemingly shot, Port Adelaide now want to put holes in the playoff bids of their AFL rivals.

And midfielder Matthew Broadbent says Port’s spoiling campaign starts with Saturday afternoon’s away fixture against eighth-placed North Melbourne.

“With the position we sit in, that (spoiling role) is probably something that we can actually play – try and do a bit of damage,” Broadbent told reporters on Wednesday.
