No regrets for Barker over Blues job

Interim Carlton coach John Barker says he has no regrets about taking on the caretaker role with the Blues despite being overlooked in favour of Hawthorn assistant Brendon Bolton.

Barker has guided the club to three wins and nine losses since taking over from Mick Malthouse but missed out on the permanent job when the Blues announced Bolton as Malthouse’s replacement this week.

A philosophical Barker said on Friday that the team would be in good hands with the appointment of Bolton but was non-committal on his own future at the club after he oversees the Blues’ remaining two home-and-away games.
