Gold Coast midfield star Jaeger O’Meara may have played his last game for the AFL club with the Suns deciding to send him for season-ending knee surgery.

The off-contract 22-year-old hasn’t played for the club since the final round of the 2014 season and will undergo arthroscopic surgery in Melbourne this week.

O’Meara had been making a comeback through the club’s reserves but missed the last two weeks with knee soreness.
