West Coast coach Adam Simpson says both Sam Butler and Eric Mackenzie are on track to return for Saturday’s clash with Brisbane at the Gabba.

Mackenzie missed last week’s loss to Adelaide because of a virus, while Butler was ruled out 10 seconds before the opening bounce after injuring his groin.

Ruckman Nic Naitanui will miss up to eight weeks with an Achilles tendon injury, while Simpson says he will consider dropping several players in a bid to fix the side’s wobbly form.
