Mackay signs AFL deal to remain with Crows

Adelaide Crows wingman David Mackay has snubbed free agency overtures and signed new four-year deal with his AFL club.

The Victorian-born 26-year-old says he wants to play with the Crows his entire career after sealing a contract to remain in Adelaide until the end of the 2018 season.

“I will most likely be a one-club player now and that is pretty special to me,” Mackay said in a statement on Wednesday.

“It was a decision I had to make with my family. We discussed it and in the end I couldn’t envisage myself playing with any other club, so in that sense it was a pretty easy decision.”

Mackay, who has played 120 games for the Crows, joins teammates Brodie Smith, Ricky Henderson, Josh Jenkins and Charlie Cameron in re-committing to the club this year.
