Luckless Morabito cruelled with hamstring

Fremantle’s Anthony Morabito, the AFL player who defines luckless, has suffered another injury setback and is likely to miss the start of the 2016 season with a torn hamstring.

Morabito, who missed the all 2011, 2012 and 2013 seasons due to three knee reconstructions, was having a strong pre-season until the hamstring injury on Monday.

The 24-year-old midfielder has played just 26 games since being taken with pick No.4 in the 2009 draft and didn’t play an AFL game last year due to on-going knee soreness.

He will train with the club’s rehabilitation group in a bid to be considered for the Dockers’ first round match on March 27.
