I’ve said sorry for AFL scandal

Wayne Carey insists he has apologised personally to Anthony Stevens for the extra-marital scandal that rocked the AFL.

Carey dramatically quit North Melbourne in 2002 when he was caught having an affair with Stevens’ wife Kelli.

Stevens has broken his silence about the scandal, appearing on the Fox Footy program Open Mike.

Stevens says there’s been no apology, but Carey’s told the Seven Network that he has said sorry to him.
