New captain Shannon Hurn and 2014 Brownlow Medallist Matt Priddis have both been named in West Coast’s squad for Friday’s AFL pre-season clash against Carlton.

Eagles coach Adam Simpson has selected an experienced squad which also includes the likes of Mark LeCras, Josh Kennedy and Chris Masten.

Rookie-listed former Blue Kane Lucas could also line up against his old side.

Hurn will skipper the Eagles for the first time since officially replacing the retired Darren Glass.

Carlton have been unable to name several of their most prominent players including captain Marc Murphy, Andrew Walker and Matthew Kreuzer due to injury.

Their inexperienced squad for the NAB Challenge match at Rushton Park in Mandurah includes Kade Simpson, Chris Yarran and former Western Bulldogs key forward Liam Jones.
