Richmond ruckman Shaun Hampson’s chances of playing against Port Adelaide on Friday night are on the improve after he trained on Tuesday.

Hampson aggravated an existing medial ligament injury in the dying stages of last week’s win against Brisbane and was only considered a 50-50 proposition for the must-win AFL clash against the Power at Adelaide Oval.

Veteran ruckman Ivan Maric was held out of the VFL last weekend in case Hampson is unable to make the trip.
