Greater Western Sydney are confident the knee injury to ruckman Shane Mumford isn’t serious and he might be available for Saturday’s AFL clash with Richmond in Canberra.

Mumford suffered the injury during Sunday’s 19-point away win over Port Adelaide, which lifted the Giants to second place and a club record 12th victory in a season.

He returned to Sydney with the team on Monday afternoon and was scheduled to undergo scans later in the day, with the results expected to be known on Tuesday.
