Fremantle take on GWS on Sunday, 2.40PM at Patersons Stadium. In a week of fairly even matches overall, Round 17 finishes off with the most lop-sided competition of the weekend. Fremantle at Patersons Stadium is one of the toughest assignments in the AFL and Greater Western Sydney have next to no chance of pulling off a win. Fremantle are on a seven-match winning streak and need to keep going if they want to stay in the hunt for a top-four finish in what is a competitive 2014 season.

Greater Western Sydney AFL star Jeremy Cameron has declared he wants to stay with the Giants and expects to finalise an extended contract soon.
The 21-year-old forward comes off contract at the end of next season and his future has been the subject of much speculation.
While Cameron’s 2014 campaign hasn’t produced the numbers or consistent form of his stellar second season last year, he would have no shortage of suitors chasing his signature if he decided against staying with GWS.
However, current Giants best and fairest and 2013 All-Australian representative Cameron said he had enjoyed almost every moment of close to four years at the fledgling franchise and had a strong bond with the other players and coaching staff.
“I think it’s that bond that you build over time that you really want to keep going and become stronger and stronger,” Cameron said.
“I’m loving my time up here and I want to stay.”
Asked when he expected to finalise his contractual situation, Cameron said “I’m sure it will be some time soon. I’m obviously discussing that with the club and my manager.
“I’m not too sure (when) – probably some time this year.”
Cameron has had ankle, ear and arm injuries in an injury-interrupted season.
“Obviously, I’ve been up and down a fair bit in recent weeks and, early in the season, I had a few injury concerns that stopped me getting a bit of momentum,” Cameron said.
“But putting them aside, I really want to make amends this weekend.”
He revealed it was injuries suffered during games that had been the main fitness issue.
“I haven’t really taken injuries into the game,” Cameron said.
“I’ve been going into games feeling really good. I haven’t gone in at 70 per cent or 80 per cent or anything like that.
“I’ve been going in feeling fit and it’s just been a little bit disappointing getting those injuries.”
His coach and namesake Leon Cameron stressed he had never considered dropping his prize forward despite his diminished numbers this year.
“The vision I watch behind the goals, he’s actually working really, really hard at his game in terms of his leading patterns,” Leon Cameron said.
“Some of the things that might have been coming off last year are not coming off at the moment.”
He was confident the Giants’ spearhead could regain from over their final seven games.
The coach pointed out Cameron was getting around 20 per cent of the ball into the Giants’ forward line as opposed to 40 per cent last year, due to the emergence of Jonathon Patton, Will Hoskin-Elliott, Adam Tomlinson and Tom Boyd.
