Essendon have signed former Fremantle midfielder player Ryan Crowley for the 2016 AFL season as the first top-up player to join the Bombers in the wake of the WADA supplements ruling.
The 31-year-old toured Essendon facilities on Tuesday and will begin training on Wednesday with the team.
Crowley said it had been a whirlwind 24 hours.
“I’m super excited to be at Essendon – it’s a great club with a proud history. I can’t wait to get out on the track and start training with the boys,” he said.
