Dockers and Cats odds crunched to win AF 2014 preliminary finals

The sharp punters are unloading on Geelong and Fremantle to advance through to next week’s preliminary finals.

One punter at Sportingbet.com.au has placed $25,000 at $1.53 on Fremantle to beat Port Adelaide, and another $25,000 at $1.62 on Geelong to finish North Melbourne’s season.

“The money has been coming in five to one in favour of the Cats and there’s also been strong support for them to cover the 7.5 point line,” Sportingbet’s Andrew Brown said.

“The betting isn’t as one sided in the other semi-final, but at this point we’re holding twice as much money for Freo compared to Port.”

The Swans remain slight $2.30 favourites for the flag ahead of Hawthorn ($2.50), Fremantle ($7.50), Port Adelaide ($15), Geelong ($17) and North Melbourne ($23).

Sydney’s Buddy Franklin is a $3.50 favourite to kick the most goals during the 2014 AFL finals series, in front of Jarryd Roughead ($7), Jack Gunston ($7) and Matthew Pavlich ($7).
