Docker Morabito suffers injury scare

Luckless Fremantle midfielder Anthony Morabito was reportedly in tears on Thursday after breaking down with injury at training.

Morabito, who has undergone three knee reconstructions since 2010, has reportedly been sent for scans.

It remains unclear whether his latest injury is a repeat of the problems he has suffered with his left knee over the past four years.

Fremantle are expected to release a statement later on Thursday.

In January last year, Morabito underwent a hybrid lars procedure in order to save his career after suffering a third knee rupture.

Morabito returned to action earlier this year and had enjoyed a solid season up until this point.

The 22-year-old played 16 times in the WAFL for Peel Thunder, and also made three appearances for the Dockers before signing a one-year contract extension.

Morabito appeared destined for future stardom after enjoying a breakout debut campaign in 2010, with the wingman playing 23 games.

But when his knee buckled at pre-season training later that year, it ushered in a problem that has dogged him for four years now.
