Crows’ Douglas out after appendix surgery

Adelaide midfielder Richard Douglas will miss Friday night’s AFL clash with Richmond after having his appendix removed.

Douglas was admitted to hospital late on Monday night for surgery, but the club says he is recovering well.

It is unclear how long Douglas will be out of the game, after already missing five matches with a foot injury earlier in the AFL season.

Douglas’ omission may signal the return of Cameron Ellis-Yolmen, who has not played for the Crows since their round 12 defeat to West Coast.
