Cats sign Lang to new 2-year AFL deal

Geelong have secured promising teenage midfielder Darcy Lang on a new two-year deal.

The 19-year-old, who made his AFL debut last season, has played every game this year and said it was an easy decision to stay with the Cats.

“I’m over the moon; it’s something that you want to be – a one club player,” Lang told the Cats’ website.

Lang is the fourth Geelong player to re-sign in the past week, joining Tom Hawkins, Jackson Thurlow and Jordan Murdoch.

Veteran Steven Motlop, who is out of contract at the end of the season, is yet to decide on his future.
