Punters are rallying behind Buddy Franklin to win the Norm Smith Medal, just hours after the Swans superstar went within four votes of winning the Brownlow Medal.

Franklin has firmed from $9 into $8 equal favouritism with teammate Josh Kennedy to win the Norm Smith medal after attracting a high-volume of bets.

“Buddy is attracting double the amount of bets than any other player at the moment,” Sportingbet’s Andrew Brown said.

“Adam Goodes is our worst result so far because plenty are on him at the $41 but Buddy is quickly catching up in terms of liability,”

Luke Parker is a $9 equal third favourite with Hawthorn’s Sam Mitchell. Daniel Hannebery ($10), Jordan Lewis ($11) and Luke Hodge ($13) are the others towards the top of Sportingbet’s market.
