Blues’ Robinson takes two-game AFL ban

Carlton’s Mitch Robinson has been suspended for the third time this AFL season after accepting a two-match ban.

Robinson was charged for his high bump on Leigh Adams in the Blues’ shock win over North Melbourne last Friday night at Etihad Stadium.

The 25-year-old’s poor record meant an early plea couldn’t save him from missing games against Fremantle and Gold Coast.

Robinson was booked for striking St Kilda’s Jack Newnes and Collingwood midfielder Taylor Adams in rounds eight and 15 respectively.

North’s Adams was also charged by the AFL Match Review Panel and accepted a reprimand for striking Blues defender Simon White.
