Armstrong to make debut for third AFL club

Collingwood have named journeyman defender Tony Armstrong among three changes for Sunday’s AFL clash with Port Adelaide at the MCG.

Armstrong, 24, will play his first senior game for the Magpies and has been listed on the interchange bench.

The Burrumbuttock product, who had 32 disposals in the VFL for the Magpies last weekend, has played 14 games for Adelaide and 11 for Sydney.

Armstrong, Alex Fasolo and Sam Dwyer replace Ben Kennedy, Clinton Young and Paul Seedsman who has an adductor injury.

Seedsman’s withdrawal from the squad named on Thursday night allows for the return of defender Tom Langdon who had been dumped following last week’s loss to Adelaide.

Port have made three changes, naming Andrew Moore on the bench and recalling key defender Alipati Carlile to half-back and Angus Monfries to the half-forward flank.

Ruckman David Hale and defender Matt Spangher return to Hawthorn’s lineup for Sunday’s game against Western Bulldogs in Launceston at the expense of Will Langford and Jonathon Ceglar.

Shaun Higgins, Tom Campbell and Sam Darley are back for the `Dogs.

Easton Wood has been dropped along with Jack Redpath and Mitch Wallis has a foot injury.

Brisbane have named an unchanged side for Sunday’s game against Melbourne at Etihad Stadium. The Demons have recalled Dean Terlich for Jack Grimes who has a hamstring injury.
