AFL’s Eagles drop undisciplined Lycett

West Coast ruckman Scott Lycett has been dropped for Saturday’s AFL clash with Brisbane because of disciplinary reasons.

Eagles coach Adam Simpson said Lycett had been dropped for failing to meet the standards set by the club’s leadership group, with Jonathan Giles called up instead.

Lycett’s suspension comes at a bad time for the Eagles, who will be without Nic Naitanui for the next 6-8 weeks because of Achilles tendon surgery.
