The surging GWS Giants are being motivated by pundits who suggest they rely on talent alone, with midfielder Josh Kelly declaring they want to be known for their toughness.

The AFL’s newest team are poised to embark on their maiden AFL finals campaign but resent the suggestion it was an inevitability given the amount of high draft picks they have had.

“When people say `it’s just a talented team, this was bound to eventuate,’ it is motivation for us because we’ve worked hard,” Kelly said on Wednesday.
