AFL boss calls for more respect

AFL chief executive Gillon McLachlan says the game has to bring back respect for all players in the wake of the Adam Goodes racism controversy.

The Sydney star will return to training on Tuesday after needing a week off because of persistent booing from opposition fans.

“There’s a clear mandate that the treatment of Adam Goodes has been unacceptable and we have to get that respect back in our game,” McLachlan said.
